Johnsonville’s amazing bonus program, Great Performance Share (GPS) reflects the guiding principle, “We Work as a Team, We Win as a Team.” Members know that each job within the company (including their own!) is critical to our success. The GPS program inspires all members to feel that their work is more than just a job. Through the GPS program, all part-time and full-time Members are eligible to receive a monthly bonus based on their personal performance and the performance and profitability of the company. GPS rewards our members for achieving these goals using a balanced scorecard, encouraging members to always act in the best interests of the company, and providing a platform to discuss business results on a monthly basis. Johnsonville bonuses are higher than the market, paying out approximately 200 percent of bonus targets to our Members each year since 2000.

Johnsonville's Organizational Development & Learning team has three certified career coaches who have completed an intensive Global Career Development Facilitator course. These coaches are available to meet with members and talk about their career aspirations and map out a development plan to fit their goals and personality.

Ralph Stayer and Launa Stayer-Maloney were inducted into the Meat Industry Hall of Fame. They both played an integral role in growing Johnsonville from the little butcher shop their parents bought in 1945 into a thriving, global company.
Johnsonville was honored with the "E" Star Award from the U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross for excellence and growth in export operations. Johnsonville was one of only three companies receiving the “E” Star Award for Exports, which recognizes previous “E” Awardees that have reported four years of additional export growth. Johnsonville was first recognized with the “E” award in 2008 for its export business efforts.
