Patty won the prize for the best hat with her rendition of a sizzling Johnsonville brat in a Sheboygan hard roll. It took 14 hours of determination, 4 skeins of yarn and a bit of inspiration from a Twinkie Chan pattern. Way to Go Patty!

Our award-winning BLAST class (Building Leaders and Superlative Teams) is a hands-on, nine-month leadership development program where participants develop leadership skills and solutions to real Johnsonville problems. BLAST has both helped achieve Johnsonville’s goal of filling 70% of coaching roles internally and yielded significant business outcomes.

The United Way of Sheboygan County honored Johnsonville with the 2017 Community Spirit Award, which recognizes one local business for promoting volunteerism to its members.

Johnsonville was featured for our commitment to our people and community when a fire destroyed our facility in Watertown, Wisconsin – the workplace of 120 Members. All through the yearlong rebuild, we retained these Members and paid them full wages and bonuses for doing volunteer work and completing educational courses.
Johnsonville was recognized by the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin for our excellent reputation, customer service, ethical practices and Member training in ethical behavior.
Johnsonville was honored by the Association for Talent Development with an Excellence in Practice Award for our BLAST (Building Leaders and Superlative Teams) Leadership Program, where our Members learn and develop coaching and leadership skills.

Making a big difference can also be big fun. The world’s largest grill, our Big Taste Grill travels the country to partner with communities and nonprofit organizations for fundraising events. We help raise millions for a multitude of worthy causes – all while serving up delicious Johnsonville Brats, fresh off the grill!

As an extension of our corporate mission to help people develop their talents, Johnsonville donates tens of thousands of dollars to Member-nominated organizations that help “build” and prepare people to strengthen their communities.
Johnsonville’s amazing bonus program, Great Performance Share (GPS) reflects the guiding principle, “We Work as a Team, We Win as a Team.” Members know that each job within the company (including their own!) is critical to our success. The GPS program inspires all members to feel that their work is more than just a job. Through the GPS program, all part-time and full-time Members are eligible to receive a monthly bonus based on their personal performance and the performance and profitability of the company. GPS rewards our members for achieving these goals using a balanced scorecard, encouraging members to always act in the best interests of the company, and providing a platform to discuss business results on a monthly basis. Johnsonville bonuses are higher than the market, paying out approximately 200 percent of bonus targets to our Members each year since 2000.

Every Johnsonville member is committed to learn, stretch and grow every day. To help keep members accountable and track their development progress, all members work with their coach to complete a Personal Development Commitment (PDC).

Johnsonville's Organizational Development & Learning team has three certified career coaches who have completed an intensive Global Career Development Facilitator course. These coaches are available to meet with members and talk about their career aspirations and map out a development plan to fit their goals and personality.
In addition to the abundant learning opportunities in the workplace, we also offer tuition reimbursement.
